USA Patriot Act Disclosure

On September 11, 2001 our lives changed forever. In an effort to protect you and our country, the USA Patriot Act was signed into law. To help the government fight the funding or terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

You are applying for a business account. If your business is not currently a Heritage Bank customer, we must also ask you to provide documentary verification of your business when you come into the bank to sign your new account paperwork. Specifically, we are required to obtain a copy of your current business papers (i.e. articles of incorporation, corporate resolution, partnership agreement, government issued business license, or trust agreement) so we may us to identify your business when opening. In addition, we may ask for identification information on the authorized account signers.
