Heritage Group, Inc., recognizes the importance of attempting to actively maintain a website that is accessible to people with disabilities.
Our revised website strives to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. Most of the site and its design elements use code compliant with W3C standards for HTML and CSS. The site generally displays correctly in current browsers. Our developers try to use standards-compliant HTML/CSS code to help support future browsers as the web evolves.
As part of our commitment, we have installed a Web Accessibility Helper (WAH) tool that can be activated by clicking on the blue-green wheelchair icon in the top right corner of the screen. It allows you to adjust many key elements of the site, including font size, keyboard navigation, font selection and colors. You can also highlight links, clear cookies, switch images to grayscale, remove special styles and highlight animations.
In some cases usually involving practical limitations, changes to the standards or third-party code, it is not possible to provide 100% compatibility. We review our site quarterly to identify these issues and maintain a changelog of issues we are working to improve. This list includes a description of the deficiency, the date it was reported and wherever possible, an estimate of the date on which we hope it will be resolved. Minor deficiencies that cannot be immediately resolved and do not affect the navigation or use of the site will also be noted as a service to our users. The changelog is listed below.
A Note on the Portable Document Format
Some web site documents are delivered in Portable Document Format (PDF). In order to improve viewing of these files, please download the latest version of Adobe Reader. It is available for free on the Adobe web site. Some web browsers now ship with alternative PDF viewers and compatibility support varies greatly.
If you notice a compatibility issue with our web site, please report it using the form below. We will investigate, follow up and, as necessary, add it to the changelog for resolution.
